The IEEE SB SSIT event “#32 Algorithmic Prowess: The Mathematics Behind the AI Arms Race" held on 12^th January 2024, offered a thorough examination of the complex mathematical fundamentals behind the present-day artificial intelligence (AI) arms race. With an insightful opening, Shahjahan M, set the stage for the webinar by explaining the role that algorithmic prowess plays in the AI arms race. The talk focused on the exponential development of AI technologies and the vital role mathematical models play in extending the capabilities of AI. The participants acquired a thorough grasp of the complexities of mathematics, which encompassed fundamental ideas like linear algebra to more complex subjects.
