IEEE 6th International Conference on Power Systems, 2016 (ICPS 2016)
6th ICPS 2016 was held successfully held in IIT Delhi and Indian Habitant Center, New Delhi during 4, 5 and 6th March 2016. The Sponsors for this conference were IEEE PELS-IES and IEEE PES-IAS Delhi Chapter and IEEE Delhi Section.
ICPS 2016 was financially supported by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, BSES Delhi, POSOCO, OPAL RT, IEX, Semikron Electronics Private Limited and Dunafusion Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
On day 1, 3 tutorials were arranged. The following were the presenters:
1. Dr Prashant Pillai, University of Bradford and Dr Aranya Chakraborty, NCUC; Wide-Area Control, Communication, and Cyber-Security of NextGeneration Power Systems
2. Prof B G Fernandes, IIT Bombay; Power electronic interface for microgrid applications
3. Prof Ashok Pradhan, IIT Kharagpur.Wide area measurement based network protection
About 100 participants attended the tutorials. The tutorials took place in the new lecture hall complex of IIT Delhi.
Day 2 and day 3 were full of technical paper presentations. The event took place at India Habitat Centre. 34 oral paper presentation sessions took place and around 200 papers were presented. On day 2 and day 3, invited talk of following persons were arranged:
1. Mr. S K Soonee, CEO, POSOCO; Indian Electricity Market by POSOCO
2. Mr. Minu Singhal, Rockwell Automation; Impact of new generation drives on Power Quality
3. Mr. Sameer Saxena, POSOCO. Experience of PMUs in India by POSOCO
