"AI Optimized Performance for Next Generation Wireless Networks"
Special Session 3 on NILES2024 Conference
Next-generation wireless systems, like 5G/6G and beyond, will embed AI into their design, creating AI-native wireless systems. These systems face challenges in network optimization, threat mitigation, and operational efficiency to meet growing user demands and support diverse smart applications. A key development is the open-RAN system, which integrates AI and ML through the Radio Intelligent Controller (RIC) layer, using rAPPs and xAPPs. This highlights the need for ML-driven intelligent systems and the revolutionary potential of AI in network operations. Automated procedures, predictive analytics, and adaptive decision-making are essential for a secure, reliable, and adaptable network infrastructure.
This special session aims to bring researchers and scientists together to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the research, design, and engineering of trustworthy and transparent deployment of intelligent networks and its implications on the B5G/6G use cases. This session will be organized in cooperation with IEEE Vehicular Technology Egyptian Chapter.
