Inauguration of Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter (PES SBC) at JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune
The official inauguration of the first Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter (PES) Student Branch Chapter (SBC) in IEEE Pune section at Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune was inaugurated on Tuesday, 20th August, 2024. During the event, section heads and distinguished guests inaugurated the PES SB board by unveiling it with the pulling of a curtain.
The chief guest for this event was Mr. Nandagopal Vaidya, senior General Manager at TATA Motors Passenger Vehicle Limited and other invitees were were Mr. Anand Vijaykumar, Deputy General Manager, TATA Motors Limited, Pune, Dr. Surekha Deshmukh, Chairperson IEEE Pune Section, Dr. Geetanjali Vaidya, Chairperson PES-IAS IEEE Pune Section and Dr. Mandar Bhawalkar, Treasurer IEEE Pune Section and Vice-chair IEEE PES-IAS Pune section.
After that all the invitees shared their views at this event. Dr S.L.Chavan, Head of Dept. for Electrical Engineering briefed about various activities in the Electrical Engineering Department. Dr Avinash Badhade, the Director for JSPM’S RSCOE delivered a keynote address. Dr A.S.Devasthali, Vice Principal mentioned about the commitment of Institution to support the SBC. Dr. Geetanjali Vaidya, Chair PES-IAS, IEEE Pune Section, mentioned in her speech the significance of the IEEE PES Student Branch’s launch and highlighted the opportunities for networking through various activities. Dr. Surekha Deshmukh, Chair, IEEE Pune Section urged students to actively engage with the new IEEE PES Student Branch and take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available to them. Chief Guest, Mr. Nandagopal K. Vaidya, Head of Vehicle Attributed Technical Services at the Engineering Research Centre, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Limited, focused on the importance of innovation, and the value of collaboration between academia and industry.
