IEEE CTSoc UET Taxila Cleanliness Walk in collaboration with Electronics department
On 29 April 2024, the IEEE Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc) UET Taxila Student Branch, in collaboration with the Electronics Department, organized a Cleanliness Walk aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and community service. The event brought together students, faculty members, and IEEE volunteers, all dedicated to enhancing the cleanliness and hygiene of the university campus.
Participants gathered in front of Electronics Department and walked across key areas of the campus, raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Equipped with gloves, trash bags, and cleaning tools, they actively engaged in collecting litter and educating others on waste management and recycling practices.
The walk concluded with a brief session by the Dr. Yaseer Arafat Durrani who emphasized the role of students in shaping a sustainable future and maintaining the beauty of their surroundings. The initiative was a great success, highlighting the combined efforts of the IEEE CTSoc and the Electronics Department in fostering environmental stewardship within the academic community.
This event exemplified the core values of IEEE in driving social impact through technology and student engagement.
