IEEE Day Celebration at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur
The SPSU IEEE Day 2024 was a remarkable success, celebrating the prestigious legacy of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and marking the official inauguration of the IEEE SPSU Student Branch.
The event commenced with a keynote address that emphasized IEEE's pivotal role in shaping the future of technology, setting a tone of innovation and excellence. Esteemed guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, Vice Chancellor of SPSU, and Dr. Prasun Chakraborti, Directorate of Research and Publications and Dean of International Affairs, were welcomed with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, honoring their contributions to academia and their support of this significant milestone.
A major highlight was the inauguration of the IEEE SPSU Student Branch, symbolizing a step forward in promoting academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration among students. The day featured inspiring talks by distinguished speakers, including
- Dr. Anand Krishnan Plappally from IIT Jodhpur
- Mr. Sanket Dangi, Co-Founder of KansoCloud
- Dr. Bharat Singh Deora from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University
whose insights sparked a renewed passion for technology among attendees. An inter-college Ideathon competition, held on September 30th, showcased the creativity and problem-solving abilities of budding engineers, with winning projects that demonstrated impressive ingenuity; the awards went to
- NextIn from GITS (1st Place)
- CuraTech from SPSU (2nd Place)
- ECO Hustlers from GITS (3rd Place)
Another milestone achievement was the launch of the IEEE SPSU Women in Engineering (WIE) Branch, an initiative aimed at fostering diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment within the tech sector. A poster-making competition celebrating the contributions of female engineers saw outstanding creativity, with
- Rajula Aurshitha Reddy, Wasfa Haider Kazmi, and Jyoti Pandey winning first place
- followed by T. Neeharika, B. Spurthi, and V. Vasavi in second place, and
- Vennela, G. Lekha Sri, N. Valli Sri Lakshmi, and V. Pallavi in third
The dedication and hard work of the IEEE SPSU Student Branch Core Team were also recognized, as a 15-member team led by Mitali Thapa (Chair) was felicitated for their commitment to the branch's success.

A distinguished entrepreneur and co-founder of KansoCloud, as a keynote speaker. With a proven track record in building innovative tech organizations, Mr. Dangi brings a wealth of expertise in cloud operations, SRE, security, and compliance.
His journey, marked by leadership roles at REANCloud and Hitachi Vantara, has culminated in the successful establishment of KansoCloud, where he continues to drive innovation in cloud solutions. Mr. Dangi's educational background, coupled with his technical prowess, positions him as a thought leader in the industry.
Dr. Bharat Singh Deora
Biography:
A distinguished computer scientist with a Ph.D. from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, as our keynote speaker. With over two decades of experience and a State Level Teachers Award, Dr. Deora's expertise spans data visualization, e-learning, cloud computing, DBMS, and IoT. His extensive research and publications highlight his contributions to these fields, making him a valuable addition to our event.
