Sight Day Congress 3.0
IEEE SIGHT Day Congress 3.0 – “Marine Life: Life Below Water”
Organized by IEEE ISIMM SIGHT SB, proud winners of the 2nd edition, this national congress gathered students, engineers, and changemakers from across Tunisia to explore innovative, sustainable tech solutions for marine conservation.
Day 1:
The SDC 3.0 launched with an energetic Opening Ceremony, during which our Moderators Yassine and Nada welcomed participants.
The Congress Chair also did a heartfelt speech, expressing deep gratitude to the organizing team, participants, and partners. He paid tribute to the Chairwoman of the previous edition of SDC 2.0, honoring their leadership.
Then, the Chairwoman of IEEE SIGHT ISIMM SB took the stage, sharing the inspiring journey of the IEEE SIGHT ISIMM SB .
The Chairwoman of IEEE SIGHT Tunisia Section then addressed the audience, acknowledging the remarkable growth of the SIGHT community in Tunisia .
Also as the former TSYP Chair, Mr. Mohamed Ali Krichen shared his reflections on leadership and youth empowerment within IEEE.
Finally, Mr. Wajih Letaif delivered an engaging and motivational speech, encouraging attendees to embrace strategic goal-setting and leadership in both their academic and humanitarian endeavors.
This was followed by a compelling panel discussion with our “Notre Grand Bleu” guests, led by:
Miss Ramla Bouhlel – Engineer in Fisheries and Environmental Sciences
Mr Amjed Khiareddine – Engineer in Fisheries and Environmental Sciences
The panel delved into marine protection strategies and ecological threats, offering real-world insights into the role of engineers in conserving marine ecosystems.
The afternoon featured the Booth Session, where each IEEE SIGHT group or Student Branch exhibited their humanitarian projects. This session was more than a showcase, it served as a networking hub, enabling participants to connect and exchange ideas..
Later, Each participating team in the Technical Challenge pitched its solution to a panel of judges.

In the evening, attendees enjoyed a dinner, followed by the Awards Ceremony. During this ceremony, the top 3 finalist teams from both the Technical Challenge and the Non-Technical Challenge were officially announced . Their recognition set the stage for the final round to be held the next day. And also the best ambassadors reveal were announced.
The day closed with a spirited party and late-night social activities.
Day 2:
Day 2 of the SDC began with a Closing Ceremony, which featured the final presentations from the top 3 Finalists.
These presentations highlighted their vision of the next edition of the SDC.
After Voting, the winners were announced, whose presentation secured them the honor of hosting the next edition of the SDC.
The ceremony celebrated not just the competition winners, but the collective effort of all contributors in making SDC 3.0 a success.
