IEEE SP SD Seminar 2025 (Virtual)

Time Domain analysis is a powerful analytical tool available in Vector Network Analyzers provided by Copper Mountain Technologies. Some may be familiar with TDR measurement using a short-duration pulse with fast rise and fall times. TDR might be used to analyze an RF cable's health and determine where an impairment is located along its length. A VNA can perform a similar task and has distinct advantages over traditional TDR. We’ll look at how time domain analysis is done using a VNA, examine some typical applications, and briefly explain the mathematical underpinnings.
