    • Career Speaker Request sent to Lai from Monica Rosas, Employer Relations Liaison Lead at Cuyamaca College.

      • "I am reaching out today because I’m working with a Cuyamaca College Engineering faculty and she requested my assistance. She’d like to host 2 engineers -1 mechanical/electrical and 1 civil - to come to her classroom and share their educational and career journey with her students. Professor Fateme Banihashemi teaches Engineering Computer Applications (Engineering 120). She has about 20 students in her class and will offer extra credit for students to attend; she is also inviting the class that is taking place after this presentation (3:30 p.m.). The other faculty teaches the Engineering 270.

Career speakers are a great work-based learning activity for students and we’d be honored if one of you can attend. I am working in inviting a civil engineer from Caltrans as well. We are still working out the activity format, it may be that each get about 20-25 minutes to speak or we do a panel format where we send you the questions in advance and leave time at the end for Q&A from students and networking. You are welcome to bring slides or any materials for show and tell. "
