The 2025 Northern Virginia and Washington IEEE Fellows Seminar
The Washington and Northern Virginia Sections proudly host the 2025 class of IEEE fellows from our sections for an evening of scientific and engaging technical talks over dinner at the Hilton Capitol Hill in downtown Washington DC. Prior to the talks, IEEE members will be able to socialize with the fellows during a reception with a selection of complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks.
This year's class of fellows have spent their careers at local research institutions including NASA, NIST, ARL, NRL, UMD College Park, and Virginia Tech. This class of fellows have contributed to a broad range of disciplines including high energy and quantum physics, practical and theoretical cybersecurity, and advanced space based Earth monitoring. All IEEE members in our sections are welcome to attend a celebratory dinner to honor the recent class of fellows and attend a seminar of technical talks on the fellows' fields of expertise.
Throughout this event, members will learn about the fellows' unique contributions to Science and Engineering through a seminar of technical talks. The 2025 class of fellows will present these technical talks on their career contributions during a multiple course dinner following a reception with a selection of beer and wine. Afterwards, members will socialize with the fellows and other IEEE members from local sections. Our fellows' diverse contributions promise to provide an entertaining evening for anyone interested in Science and research done by local IEEE members and for any member who aspires to become a fellow themselves.
Seating at the event the event will be limited, so please register as soon as possible. The dress code for the event will be business casual.
