The excellence and impact of this initiative were globally recognized, earning the prestigious Runner-Up position in the "Best Activity/Spotlight of the Year Award" category by IEEE PES. This international milestone was featured as a highlight in our Faculty of Engineering news [fi.udec.cl]. More than just a trophy, this recognition served as a pivotal accreditation tool, validating our student chapter's professionalism before external entities and industry leaders. It has directly enabled us to secure more robust partnerships and execute higher-impact activities that continue to define our chapter’s success to this day.

This award-winning event brought together three distinguished academics with extensive experience in the energy sector to share their latest research on critical challenges and opportunities. The seminar covered high-priority topics such as electromobility, BESS implementation, energy efficiency, and the integration of renewable technologies, providing a comprehensive view of the role of innovation in driving the global energy transition.

In addition to the high-level talks, the university’s Electromobility Team showcased their cutting-edge electric go-kart. This live demonstration served as a tangible bridge between academic theory and real-world engineering, highlighting the creativity and talent of our students in developing sustainable transport solutions.
