Technical Meeting @ JHU-APL: The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope
The Nancy Grace Roman space telescope is the next NASA astrophysics flagship mission and is on track for launch in late CY2026. This talk will introduce the mission and review the optical design and development within the telescope.
Our speaker is Dr. Dave Content, of NASA GSFC:
Dr. Dave Content has worked at NASA GSFC since 1988 as an optical engineer, technologist, systems engineer, and project manager. He completed a BA at Hamilton College, and a Ph.D. in physics at John Hopkins University, both in physics. He has worked on the Roman Space Telescope (formerly WFIRST) since its inception in 2008. He is the deputy project manager / technical lead.

Location and Directions to APL:
The meeting will take place in Parsons Auditorium located in Lobby 1 of JHU APL's campus. Lobby 1 can be reached through APL Drive off of Johns Hopkins Road. It is NOT recommended that you attempt driving through the APL Campus from Sanner Rd as some gates do not provide direct access to APL Drive.
Parking is available to the north-west and south of Lobby 1 (as shown below). You may park anywhere with a valid space.
