SMC TTU CTF 2025 – Capture The Flag Cybersecurity Competition
SMC TTU CTF 2025 is the first cybersecurity competition organized at Tafila Technical University by SMC IEEE – the first branch in the Middle East and Jordan. The event aims to enhance students' cybersecurity skills through interactive challenges in fields like web security, reverse engineering, and digital forensics.
SMC TTU CTF 2025 will take place at Tafila Technical University on May 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Organized by the SMC IEEE branch — the first in the Middle East and Jordan — in collaboration with the university, this Capture The Flag (CTF) competition is designed exclusively for TTU students.
Participants, organized in teams of 2–4 members, will compete to solve cybersecurity challenges across various categories including:
-
Web Security
-
Miscellaneous
-
Pwn (Binary Exploitation)
-
Forensics
-
Reverse Engineering
-
OSINT (Open Source Intelligence)
-
Machines
Each challenge is crafted to develop practical skills, encourage teamwork, and simulate real-world cybersecurity problem-solving under pressure. Around 40–50 students are expected to participate.
Participants are required to bring their personal laptops. A stable internet connection will be provided by the university, and equipment such as a projector and sound system will be used for the opening and closing ceremonies if necessary.
The event will be fully managed by the SMC IEEE team at TTU, and the technical content is developed by a team of experienced students:
