Biography:
Mr. Jameel Shakeel is the Manager of Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility at Sohar Aluminium, a 390,000 tonnes per annum aluminium Smelter, Power Plant, and Port located in Sohar—the industrial hub of the Sultanate of Oman.
With over 2 decades of corporate experience, including more than 18 years in leadership roles across IT, projects, communications, CSR, and ESG, Jameel brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic insight. He holds an MBA in Total Quality Management from the University of Leicester and is currently enrolled in the National CEO Programme at the Royal Academy of Management.
As Secretary of Sohar Aluminium’s ESG Committee, he played a pivotal role in developing the company’s ESG Strategy and was instrumental in securing the Performance Standard Certification from the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI)—a key milestone in responsible aluminium production.
Widely recognised for his strong interpersonal skills, impactful public speaking, and results-oriented leadership, Jameel continues to be a driving force in advancing sustainability and stakeholder engagement within the aluminium industry.

Biography:
Senior Staff Nurse at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.
Holds a Bachelor's in Nursing from Sultan Qaboos University and a Master's in Advanced Nursing and Medical Technology from Central South University, China, with interest in medical research and AI in healthcare.

Biography:
Dr. Wasin Alkishri is an Assistant Professor and researcher in computer vision, image processing, and the Internet of Things (IoT) at the Arab Open University (Oman). She holds a PhD in Computing (Deep Learning) from Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) and serves as the Deputy Director of the AOU Academy for Training. Dr. Alkishri actively contributes to international and local conferences as a speaker and is dedicated to advancing AI, computer vision, and IoT through research and academic leadership.
