Some Signal Processing and Machine Learning Applications to Communications
Biography:
Paulo S. R. Diniz received his Electronics Engineering degree (Cum Laude) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ),
his M.Sc. degree from COPPE/UFRJ, and his Ph.D. from Concordia University, Canada. He wrote four books and two
monographs. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of EURASIP. He has published over 350 refereed papers holding several
best-paper awards from conferences and an IEEE journal. He received the 2024 Carl Friedrich Gauss Education Award from the
IEEE Signal Processing Society. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Science (ABC) and the National Academy of
Engineering (ANE).
