IEEE Washington Section Fall Family Day
IEEE Washington Section invites you to a Fall Family Day at Smokey Glen Farm. Please join us with your family and friends to enjoy a Fall outdoor day with BBQ Chicken, Spicy Black Bean Burgers (vegetarian), selection of picnic side items, soft drinks, beer and wine. A sample menu will be posted here as the event date approaches.
We will have exclusive use of the Meadow Area. This area features a covered pavilion, a small brook running through part of the site, and lots of additional field space for games and activities and plenty of shade trees. The following map of the Meadow Area shows the variety of activities available.
Smokey Glen Farm can be reached from I-270 via MD-118 from the North and via MD-124 from the South. Smokey Glen Farm is located at 16407 Riffleford Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 at the following Google Maps link. Ample free parking is available. Signs will direct you to use one of the two entrances to reach the IEEE event area. GWU Student Branch, UMD Student Branch, and YP leadership are looking into arranging transportation. You may contact GWU SB Leadership, UMD SB Leadership or YP Leadership f you are looking for transportation options to attend the event.
Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all attendees as the venue needs an attendee count in advance. No onsite registration is possible.

The event will be open from 11AM until 4PM. You can attend as your schedule permits.
Food will be served from NOON until 2PM. Drinks including beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for the full event from 11AM to 4PM.
