  • The proposed event, MYOSA Kerala – Project Expo-cum-Competition, is to be held as part of the Yearly Engineering Students Summit (YESS 2025), hosted at NIT Calicut.

  • Taking inspiration from the success of MYOSA 3.0, we are organizing a project expo cum competition focused on sensors to create awareness about emerging sensor technologies and MYOSA sensor kits at the local level. This initiative not only encourages student engineers to design technically sound solutions but also ensures that their innovations remain socially relevant and impactful.

  • A unique aspect of this competition is the encouragement to utilize the MYOSA kit as a foundation for prototyping.

  • Each participating team will comprise four members, with the stipulation that at least one member must be an IEEE Sensors Council member and at least one member must be a woman. These requirements ensure stronger engagement with the IEEE Sensors community while also promoting inclusivity and gender diversity.

  • The competition will adopt an expo-style format, allowing teams to present and demonstrate their projects in an interactive setting. Evaluation criteria will emphasize innovation, feasibility, technical rigor, and societal impact, ensuring that submissions are assessed both for engineering depth and for their broader relevance.

  • By situating MYOSA Kerala within YESS 2025, the largest engineering student summit in India with an expected participation of over 4000 delegates, the event is poised for high visibility and impact. Students will gain recognition, exposure, and opportunities to network, while the broader community benefits from a showcase of talent and emerging ideas.

This aligns directly with the Council’s mission of advancing sensor technology              awareness and adoption among students.
