This event includes a two-part deployment of IEEE MOVE in Houston, TX.

PART 1 - AT&T-sponsored public safety technology career day at Spring Woods High School. The event will open with a press event with State Representative Lacey Hull's office and a check presentation from AT&T to the Texas DPS Troopers Foundation. Charles Stein (AT&T External & Legislative Affairs Director) will provide opening remarks alongside Texas House District 138 and Texas DPS Troopers. Laptops will be distributed to 75 students and the latest edition of IEEE Spectrum Magazine will be included in each bag. A fleet vehicle expo featuring Texas DPS Troopers Foundation and Houston Police Department will inspire students to purse STEM careers across first responders professions through immersive experiences. IEEE MOVE will participate in the expo with a table, signage, and giveaways. AT&T volunteers will also teach online safety and digital citizenship courses. 

PART 2 - IEEE MOVE Day at Houston City College (HCC is formerly Houston Community College) Spring Branch Campus. IEEE MOVE will be the sole vehicle featured and will engage students, staff and administration to highlight first responder careers. HCC will convene its centers of excellence (IT, public safety, engineering) to attract students toward membership in IEEE and the community college systems bridge pathways into 4-year engineering degrees. The Public Engagement Officer for Houston City Council Member Amy Peck will provide opening remarks along with Charles Stein (R5 Industry Engagement Liaison) and HCC Officials. Council Member Peck chairs the City of Houston Public Safety Committee.
