NFPA 70B & NFPA 70E – The Missing Links
Registration required no payment at the door. This takes place over 2 consecutive night's, October 14 & 15th 2025. A total of 5 PDH will be issued to registered attendees who attend the seminars each night.
Two Night Seminar Covering NFPA 70B & NFPA 70E – The Missing Links
This course is geared towards practicing electrical, control and instrument engineers who perform engineering on facilities within the process industries.
Abstract:
NFPA 70B & NFPA 70E – The Missing Links
The NEC (National Electrical Code) is widely recognized as the foundational code for the safe installation of electrical systems and equipment. But the initial installation is only the beginning of the life cycle of electrical equipment. There are two lesser-known standards, NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E, that outline how to safely operate and maintain the equipment after it has been placed into service.
In these sessions we will focus on the other two vital standards: NFPA 70E, the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and NFPA 70B, the Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance. Attendees will develop a better understanding of how these NFPA standards are developed, the structure and contents of the standards, and most importantly how they interact and build on each other to help ensure that properly rated and installed equipment remains safe throughout its life cycle.
