IEEE Pikes Peak Section and Tau Beta Pi Alumni Tour
Last Call!
Please Join the IEEE Pikes Peak Section and the Pikes Peak Tau Beta Pi Alumni Chapter Tour of the National Museum of WWII Aviation on October 4 (Saturday). Free Tickets, Docent-Lead
The National Museum is one of the top tourist attractions in Colorado Springs.
It is located in three hangers at the Colorado Springs Airport/Peterson Space Force Base. It houses 28 restored and flyable World War II aircraft and other vehicles along a Museum of WWII Aviation. Our docent-lead tour will take us through the Museum and view the aircraft and restoration facilities. We will end the tour at the Interactive Exhibits area where we can observe an operational WWII Link trainer along with other Interactive Exhibits. We will see a Student Simulation Lab partially funded by Pike Peak Section and Life Member Affinity Groups where UCCS Student Interns and Students develop flight simulations of WWII Aviation.
Following the tour, participants can join the group if you wish for lunch at the unique Airplane Restaurant, an aviation themed restaurant with Air Force Tanker attached located nearby. (At your own expense).
Sign Up Now - Tour Size Limited to 25 people. Tickets paid for by IEEE Pikes Peak Section.
