Inaugural of Communications Society in IEEE STUDENT BRANCH CHAITANYA BHARATHI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (CBIT)
The Department of Computer Engineering & Technology, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Hyderabad, will be inaugurating the IEEE CBIT Communications Society (ComSoc) Student Branch Chapter on 28th October 2025 at the Assembly Hall, CBIT.
This inauguration will mark the beginning of a new chapter dedicated to promoting advancements in communication and networking technologies. The event will be graced by Dr. C. Kumar, Chair, IEEE Communications Society, Hyderabad Section, who will deliver an insightful session on the emerging trends in 5G, IoT, and next-generation communication networks.
The chapter aims to provide a platform for students to explore innovations in communication engineering, participate in IEEE technical activities, and collaborate on global initiatives. It will encourage members to engage in research, knowledge exchange, and leadership development within the IEEE community.
Through this inauguration, CBIT will reaffirm its commitment to “Advancing Technology for Humanity” by fostering innovation and collaboration in communication systems and networks.

Dr.C.KUMAR
Biography:
Dr. C. Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (Deemed to be University). He is currently serving as Chairman, IEEE Communication Society, Hyderabad Section (2024–present) and previously as Treasurer (2023–24).
With over 16 years of teaching experience, Dr. Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He is a Cisco Certified Advanced Level Instructor Excellence awardee, MITS IEEE Student Branch Counsellor, and has played a key role in establishing the Cisco Networking Academy at MITS.
Dr. Kumar has completed multiple SWAYAM NPTEL certifications (IoT, Cybersecurity, Communication Networks, Digital Circuits) and was a topper in the “Introduction to IoT” course. He is also a QNX-certified professional in Realtime Programming, IEEE PSES ExCom Member (Madras Section, 2017–18), Cisco Academy Instructor & Advisor (since 2022), and reviewer for reputed journals.
Passionate about fostering innovation and guiding the younger generation, Dr. Kumar actively contributes to research, professional societies, and skill development initiatives.
