The event INNOVERSE: Build The Future, organized to celebrate IEEE Day, was a national-level hackathon hosted by the IEEE Student Branch of Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering (MMCOE), Pune, on 10th and 11th October 2025. Funded by IEEE Young Professionals, Pune Section, it aimed to foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young technocrats nationwide. The hackathon featured two stages: a presentation round where teams proposed ideas, and a final evaluation round where shortlisted teams developed prototypes and presented them to an expert panel. With 203 participants from 53 finalist teams, the event was held across MMCOE’s labs and seminar halls over 12 hours offline plus a 12-hour online preliminary round. Prizes totaling Rs. 30,000 were awarded, with judges from Top tech firms such as Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, and YCS TechSoft evaluating projects.

A panel discussion provided career insights and guidance on project development. Institutions from several states participated, enhancing collaboration between academia, industry, and students. The event received positive feedback for excellent organization and hospitality, awarding certificates to all participants and cash prizes to winners, strengthening MMCOE IEEE SB’s reputation for promoting technical excellence and innovation throughout India

Biography:

The first speaker at the Innoverse 2K25 Hackathon was Mr. Prasad Deshpande who is an industry expert with about 27+ years of experience. He is currently serving as the  Vice President and IBU/IBG Head at Tech Mahindra.
