As part of IEEE Week 2025 and the celebrations of IEEE Day, the IEEE Student Branch, Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT-B), in collaboration with the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) and Google Gemini, successfully hosted “The Gemini Games: Prompt Your Way to Victory” on October 15, 2025. Designed to make AI accessible and enjoyable, the event provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the creative power of prompt engineering while fostering collaboration and innovation.

Held offline at the AIML Lab (AB 703), the competition consisted of two main rounds that combined humor, creativity, and technical wit. In Round 1 – Meme Making, participants crafted three original memes using only a limited number of prompts per image, blending unexpected themes such as technology, culture, and everyday life. Following a fun interactive quiz session, teams advanced to Round 2 – Brand Creation, where they designed a startup logo and tagline inspired by a teammate’s personality. This creative exercise tested their ability to translate ideas into visual and conceptual innovation through AI.

The event drew over 120 participants, reflecting strong enthusiasm for AI tools and their creative potential. Winners received a ₹3,000 prize pool, Google merchandise, and official certificates, while all participants gained invaluable exposure to the world of prompt-based content creation. The Gemini Games stood out as a highlight of IEEE Day, celebrating the fusion of technology and imagination that lies at the heart of IEEE’s mission — Advancing Technology for Humanity.
