3D Design & Printing 101 Workshop – IEEE x ASME

Hosted By:
IEEE MNSU Student Branch in collaboration with ASME

Event Date & Time:
Thursday, October 23, 2025
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Location:
ECET Junior & Senior Design Labs

  • TN 259 – Workshop introduction, safety, CAD basics

  • TN 270 – Hands-on 3D printing with Prusa machines

Event Description:
Join IEEE MNSU and ASME for a beginner-friendly 3D Design & Printing Workshop! This hands-on session introduces students to CAD modeling and additive manufacturing using Onshape and PrusaSlicer. Learn how to design 3D parts, convert models to G-code, and safely operate 3D printers used in engineering prototyping and product development.

This workshop brings together mechanical design, electrical integration, and engineering problem-solving—perfect for students in ECET, ME, CE, CIS, Physics, and anyone interested in design and manufacturing.
