The meeting focused on an AI-based project for the EMBS x WIE x CIS TSYP 13 Challenge, integrating the STAR Program through school outreach to raise awareness about Autism or ADHD, promote inclusivity, and simplify AI for children. Members also discussed the upcoming mini hackathon with the CS Chapter.

Discussion points : 

Project Ideation and STAR Program Integration

• The STAR Program within the EMBS x WIE x CIS TSYP 13 Challenge will include outreach sessions in a middle / high school, with the possibility of extending to a school for students with disabilities.

• The project centers on a child-friendly AI model designed to illustrate how technology can help recognize and understand Autism or ADHD, encouraging awareness and empathy among students.

• To complement this, we suggest that the robot developed for the tech challenge generates reports for teachers, providing insights and recommendations on how to better interact with and support neurodivergent learners.

• A quiz will also be prepared for both teachers and students to dispel common myths and promote understanding about Autism and ADHD.

Upcoming Mini Hackathon

• A mini hackathon is planned in collaboration with the CS Chapter, expected to take place at ISET Bizerte for approximately 4 hours.

• A follow-up meeting will be organized with the CS ExCom to finalize event details and logistics.
