IEEE Kingston Section looks forward to seeing you at this year's Annual Banquet Dinner and AGM on November 27th. The two events are separate, but you are welcome to attend both. Tickets are required for the Banquet Dinner, and an RSVP is required for the AGM. Please see details below.

 

Annual Banquet Dinner

Date: Thursday, November 27

Time: 6pm

Location: Renaissance Supper Club - 285 Queen St.

Tickets: Regular tickets are $40, and student tickets are $25. Each IEEE member (student or regular) can also purchase a ticket for one guest.

Event activities: The event will include a three-course meal, a keynote talk, presentation of undergraduate and graduate awards, and a chance to socialize with the community. 

Menu: 

1st Course: choice of Chef's Soup of the Day; or Autumn Garden Salad with Sweet Vinaigrette Dressing with fresh rolls

Main Course: choice of Chicken Fricassee with a Sauce Robert, Rustic Mashed Potatoes and Vegetable Medley; or Basted Sesame Salmon with Saffron Rice and Vegetable Medley; Bowtie Pasta in a Marinara Sauce with Roasted Vegetables [VEGAN]

Dessert: Poached Pears with a Drambuie Sauce

 

 

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Date: Thursday, November 27

Time: 5-6pm

Location: Renaissance Supper Club - 285 Queen St.

Details: The purpose of this meeting is to review Kingston Section activities for the past year. 

Hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Rapid Evolution of Disruptive Digital Transformation to Society 5.0

Biography:

Andy Chen is the President 2025-2026, IEEE Systems Council; President, 2020-2021, IEEE TEMS; 
and a member of Board of Governors 2016-2020 for IEEE Computer Society (CS). He is also an 
Advisor for IEEE Entrepreneurship. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to 
innovate for a better tomorrow through its more than 423,000 members in over 160 countries, 
and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and 
educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology 
information around the globe.
Andy is a partner of REDDS Venture Investment partners which empower disruptive start-ups 
that scale worldwide and have billion dollars plus potential through team building, global 
business development, financing, mentoring, and strategy. 
Andy is the President & CEO of a global consulting firm. The firm’s principal business is to 
provide consulting services for utility industry worldwide. Andy is a senior business advisor for 
several leading global consulting firms and enterprise software vendors. Andy held the position 
of the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and Architecture of the 
largest Canadian-based electricity generator. He also served as the chair of ABB International 
User Board of Directors.
Andy participates in the United Nations Global Pulse's Data Privacy Advisory Group. He is also a 
director for the Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations’ board and a 
member of the Technical Advisory Council for the FinTech Ideas Festival. He also served as the 
Chair of the Technical Advisory Council for YinTech Investment Holding Ltd. As an 
internationally recognized speaker, Andy was a keynote speaker at the UN ITU Telecom World 
and AI for Good Global Summit, the World Computer Congress, the World CIO Forum, and the 
Digital Africa Conference.
Andy received Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo 
which is a top ranked engineering university in Canada.
