A journey where ideas meet experience and ambition gains direction.

The IEEE CSTAM 2.0 Nano Mentoring Program was a mentoring initiative organized in collaboration with the IEEE CS SYP Nano Mentoring, IEEE CS ENICarthage SBC, IEEE CS Tunisia Section Chapter and IEEE YP Tunisia Affinity Group and held during IEEE CSTAM 2.0 × IEEE CSTS 2025 on 22 and 23 November.

The Nano Mentoring Program is designed to deliver short, high-impact, one-to-one mentoring sessions that connect students and young professionals with experienced industry practitioners, researchers, and academic leaders. Unlike traditional long-term mentoring models, this format focuses on concise, targeted discussions, allowing mentees to receive immediate, actionable guidance on specific technical, career, research, or personal development topics.

During IEEE CSTAM 2.0, the program was implemented through two structured mentoring sessions:

  • Session 1:
    Day 1 – 22 November, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM

  • Session 2:
    Day 2 – 23 November, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Each session followed a rotating one-to-one format, where each mentor met approximately three mentees per session, with an average duration of 30 minutes per mentee. This structure ensured focused discussions while allowing mentors to engage with multiple participants without overload.

In total, the program involved 18 mentors:

  • 13 mentors on Day 1

  • 8 mentors on Day 2

  • 3 mentors participated across both days

Through this setup, the Nano Mentoring Program benefited approximately 63 mentees, who received personalized guidance across a wide range of domains, including:

  • Software Engineering, Full-Stack and Mobile Development

  • Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Emerging Technologies

  • Cloud Computing, DevOps, IoT, and Cybersecurity

  • Quality Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership

  • Communication, Stress Management, and Career Development

The mentors were experienced professionals from industry and academia, IEEE senior volunteers, researchers, and chapter leaders, ensuring both technical depth and professional insight.

Overall, the IEEE CSTAM 2.0 Nano Mentoring Program successfully fostered knowledge exchange, confidence building, and networking, while creating a structured and efficient environment for meaningful mentor-mentee interactions. The initiative strengthened collaboration between students, young professionals, and senior experts, contributing to the professional development objectives of IEEE CSTAM 2.0 and IEEE CS SYP.
