Hands On Robotic Bootcamp
The IEEE SPS JUIT Student Branch successfully organized a highly engaging and fully practical Hands-On Robotics Bootcamp, designed to introduce JUIT students to real-world engineering through direct interaction with modern robotic systems. The bootcamp featured two core modules — Drone Systems and Robo-Dog Robotics — each emphasizing practical learning, hardware experimentation, system behaviour analysis, and real-time debugging.
This initiative demonstrated the branch’s commitment to fostering a strong engineering culture based on hands-on exposure, technical exploration, and intuitive learning. By focusing on real hardware instead of purely theoretical instruction, the bootcamp equipped participants with a deeper understanding of how robotic systems function under different conditions and how to troubleshoot them effectively.
Module 1: Drone Systems Bootcamp
1. Drone Architecture and Control Systems
2. Sensor Integration and Stability Management
3. Practical Flight, Tuning, and Troubleshooting
Module 2: Robo-Dog Robotics Bootcamp
The second part of the Hands-On Robotics Bootcamp focused on quadruped robotic systems, offering an immersive introduction to mechanical locomotion and dynamic control.
1. Understanding Locomotion Systems
2. Sensor Feedback and Control Logic
3. Stability Analysis, Testing, and Real-Time Debugging
