SAIRAM SDG IMMERSION PROGRAM
The Localization of SDGs & Field Exposure Visit for Idea Engineering Program is a national-level initiative organized under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Ecosystem, in collaboration with Sri Sairam Engineering College and the Innovation & Techno Incubator Foundation.
This program aims to equip students with real-world exposure to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inspire them to develop impactful, community-centric engineering solutions.
Designed as an 3-day immersive learning and field engagement program, it involved 3180 student participants from 11 batches, covering 22 training sessions, led by 11 expert resource persons, and structured around 9 core themes related to SDG implementation. Students were taken to 3 model villages, representing 17 SDGs along with SAP, to directly observe grassroots challenges and the functioning of rural ecosystems.
