IEEE UniTech Meetup: Uganda Students & YP Convergence 2026

The IEEE UniTech Meetup: Uganda Students & YP Convergence 2026 is a national gathering designed to unite IEEE Student Branches across Uganda with the IEEE Young Professionals community to strengthen collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. This convergence will bring together 50–70 students, YPs, faculty advisors, and Section representatives for a full day of learning, planning, and networking.

The event aims to co-create a unified 2026 roadmap for student and YP activities, develop strategies to establish three new Student Branches, and enhance leadership capacity across campuses. 

 

Through mentorship panels, breakout sessions, and interactive activities, participants will gain insights into transitioning from Student Member to Young Professional, explore career pathways, and understand opportunities within IEEE. The meetup is also expected to support membership growth by recruiting at least 30 new student members and to build a stronger, more connected national IEEE community.
