Event Overview
On December 9th, IEEE Çankaya University Student Branch organized a technical visit to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), the primary regulatory body for Turkey’s digital and telecommunications infrastructure. This visit offered students a unique "behind-the-scenes" look at the management of national cyber defense and mobile communication systems.
Technical Highlights & Key Departments
The visit focused on three core pillars of Turkey's technological landscape:
National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM): Participants observed the 24/7 operations dedicated to protecting Turkey’s cyberspace. The session covered real-time monitoring of cyber threats and the active processes involved in mitigating large-scale cyber attacks.
Central Mobile Systems (MMS): An in-depth technical examination of the infrastructure managing mobile communication traffic and the regulatory systems for mobile device registration.
BTK Academy: An exploration of the educational hub for software and emerging technologies, highlighting available resources for students to enhance their technical skill sets through specialized training programs.
Objectives
