From Clicks to Context: Understanding User Intent Using Applied AI

In today’s digital landscape, understanding user behavior is crucial for driving personalized experiences and business outcomes. This presentation introduces a scalable, AI-driven approach to session intent detection using clickstream data. By leveraging AWS-native services such as S3, Glue, and Lambda, we demonstrate how to transform raw web interaction data into meaningful session-level insights. Our framework classifies sessions into predefined intent categories (e.g., research, transaction, or service) and generates contextual summaries that help stakeholders quickly interpret user journeys.  Attendees will gain insights into the end-to-end serverless architecture, classification logic, and data engineering best practices that power this solution. This talk will be especially valuable to professionals working at the intersection of data science, engineering, and digital analytics—showing how AI and automation can turn complex behavioral data into actionable business intelligence.
