Code Combat – 2-Hour Hackathon
CodeCombat is a competitive programming hackathon organized by the IEEE CTSOc Student Branch to bring together passionate programmers and problem-solvers. The event provides a platform for students to test their algorithmic thinking, coding efficiency, and logical reasoning by solving time-bound programming challenges.
Participants will compete individually or in teams to solve a series of competitive programming problems of varying difficulty, focusing on data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques. CodeCombat aims to foster a competitive coding mindset, encourage learning through problem-solving, and strengthen the culture of competitive programming among students.

Emerging Technologies and Skill Roadmap for Future Placements

Future Challenges in the Technology Industry and Skill Requirements for Students
Panagrahi Sir delivered an insightful session focusing on the rapidly evolving technology landscape and the challenges students will face in the coming years. He discussed the growing importance of problem-solving skills, competitive programming, and strong fundamentals in computer science.
The session emphasized emerging domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, along with the need for continuous learning and adaptability. Students were guided on how to align academic knowledge with industry expectations and prepare effectively for placements, hackathons, and real-world projects.
