Abstract: As organizations navigate the agentic era, where autonomous AI agents increasingly interact with web services and APIs on behalf of users, web perimeter protection faces unprecedented challenges that demand a fundamental rethinking of traditional security paradigms. The proliferation of AI agents—from customer service bots to automated data scrapers and intelligent assistants—has blurred the lines between legitimate automated traffic and malicious bot activity, creating a complex landscape where conventional detection methods based on static signatures and simple behavioral patterns prove inadequate.
