Severe Weather Spotter Training
Severe Weather Season is upon us and we have already experienced four later winter tornadoes. Learn how to recognize weather conditions that could turn deadly and how to report that information to the National Weather Service properly so that warnings can be issued. This training satisfies the requirements for SkyWarn certification. Even if you have no desire to become a SkyWarn weather spotter, knowing when that nasty looking cloud approaching requires you to move quickly to shelter. Not all areas have audible tornado alarms and you may be in a coverage gap, so knowing what precautions to take can save your life.
After completing the course, you may optionally register to receive a SkyWarn Certificate and credentials.
There is no cost for either the course or the registration. Your safety is our payment.
