AFRL SDR University Challenge Showcase

Join us on Friday, April 24th from 8:00am to 12:30pm, at the UDRI - Meyer Room (1700 S Patterson Blvd Dayton, OH) for a showcase of innovation using SDR Technology.

This will be the 8th annual SDR University Challenge and it brings together the brightest student engineering teams from across the nation. These teams have spent the academic year developing cutting-edge solutions to real-world communication challenges using software-defined radio (SDR) technology. This event is the culmination of their hard work, where they will demonstrate their projects and compete for top honors. 22 university teams participated this year with the top 8 teams invited to present on the 24th.

8 finalist teams that will be presenting live demos on 24 April:

  • Texas A&M University: LLM-Driven Automatic Radar Transmitter Design Using Software Defined Radios
  • University of Connecticut: Next-G Wireless System on SDR
  • University of Louisville: SDR-based Spatiotemporal Wireless Digital Twin for Mobile Autonomous System
  • University of Massachusetts Boston: SDR-based Testbed Design for Hybrid Localization in Indoor Environments with Radio and Optical Wireless
  • University North Dakota: AI-Assisted Platoon: Secure SDR-based Intelligent Vehicle Convoy Network
  • University of Washington: SDR-based Testbed for Doppler-aware Multi-antenna Beamforming, Tracking, and Reception of Satellite Transmissions
