Agenda (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

  • 10:00 – 10:15 AM – Welcome & Semester Highlights

    • Chapter chair opens event, reviews semester achievements, and outlines retreat goals

  • 10:15 – 10:45 AM – Speed Meet & Greet (Networking Round 1)

    • 5-minute small-group rotations

    • Each person shares: name, role, one teaching/collaboration idea, and one IEEE membership goal

  • 10:45 – 11:15 AM – Teaching Practices: In-Person vs. Online

    • Share effective hybrid strategies for VTS-related courses

    • Discuss tools, engagement techniques, and lessons learned from this semester

  • 11:15 – 11:45 AM – Course Development Progress & New Program Ideas

    • Update on current courses under development

    • Brainstorm new certificates, minors, or modules (e.g., connected vehicles, V2X, 6G communications)

  • 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM – Funding Opportunities & Grant Collaborations

    • Review internal/external grants, IEEE Seed Funding, and industry sponsorships

    • Identify upcoming deadlines and potential project partnerships

  • 12:15 – 12:45 PM – IEEE VTS Membership Improvement

    • Strategies for student recruitment and retention

    • Encouraging professional upgrades and joint VTS memberships

    • Member testimonials and success stories

  • 12:45 – 1:15 PM – Networking & Lunch Break (Informal)

    • Casual conversation over provided lunch or virtual breakout rooms

    • Opportunity to follow up on earlier discussions

  • 1:15 – 1:45 PM – Open Mic: Collaboration Ideas & Action Items

    • Propose joint workshops, mentorship programs, or semester-long projects
