  1. BACKGROUND
    This event is an opportunity to showcase the successful completion of the RTS Link Offsite Integrated Testing (OSIT) conducted at SRTC. The structure of this talk to emphasize the strategic foresight of testing the RTS Link system at SRTC before moving to the mainline.
  2. SPEAKERS & PRESENTATION SCOPE
    To ensure both strategic oversight and technical depth, the session will cover the following scope and led by the following RTSO speakers:
    i. Mr Zahrin Abdul Gani, Project Director: The "Why" Behind OSIT
      • Introduction to RTS Operations
      • Strategic vision for the RTS Link project and the critical role of integrated testing in cross-border infrastructure success.
      • Proactive strategy of resolving system complexities and technical interfaces with collaboration and synergy between RTSO, System Consultant and Work Package Contractors in a controlled environment.
      •  Risk-mitigation approach towards the transition to onsite commissioning.
    ii. Ms Azizah Sapari, OSIT Project Lead: The OSIT Road Map
      •  Project Rollout: Strategic planning and resource mobilization at the SRTC facility.
      •  Testing Methodology: A technical deep-dive into how testing was conducted, specifically the integration between rolling stock and              signaling systems.

Mr Zahrin Abdul Gani

With extensive experience in rail systems, sales & business development interface & integration management and project management, Mr Zahrin has multidisciplinary knowledge of the core rail systems of rolling stock, signalling control, communications, ISCS/SCADA and building services. He specialises in government and international liaisons, tender preparation and evaluation, system integration and interface management, project management and systems engineering.

Mr Zahrin is an alumna of NTU / MPE, has a Master’s in Project Management from the University of Adelaide, a qualified Project Management Professional and Member of Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Ms Azizah Sapari

The very first female rolling stock engineer in the history of Singapore, Ms Azizah Sapari has built a remarkable career spanning over 37 years and contributed to roles in rail and public transport engineering, maintenance, technical consultancy and pre-operational readiness for new rail systems in Singapore and Mauritius.


Ms Azizah is a Chartered Engineer in Railway & Transport Engineering and a Member of the Institute of Engineers (Singapore). She is also an alumna of NTU (MAE/1988) and was conferred the Nanyang Alumni Service Award in 2020 for her outstanding service and contributions to NTU Alumni Toastmasters Club.
