This IEEE TEMS Student Branch Chapter event at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is designed as a focused Technology and Engineering Management (TEM) workshop aimed at developing leadership, innovation thinking, and project management skills among engineering students. The activity introduces participants to the fundamentals of engineering management, including how technical projects are planned, executed, and optimized in real-world industry environments.

The program will include interactive technical sessions covering topics such as engineering project lifecycle management, innovation and technology commercialization, leadership in engineering teams, and structured decision-making for complex technical systems. A case-study-based learning approach will be used to help students understand how engineering and management principles are integrated in industries such as aerospace, electronics, AI systems, and autonomous technologies.

Participants will also engage in a guided innovation challenge where they will analyze a real-world problem and propose a solution by combining technical knowledge with management strategies. This will encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and structured problem-solving abilities aligned with IEEE TEMS objectives.

The event will feature expert talks and interactive discussions from industry professionals and academic experts, providing insights into current trends in engineering management, career pathways, and emerging opportunities in technology-driven industries. Students will also have opportunities to interact with peers, mentors, and IEEE volunteers to build professional networks.

The expected outcome of the event is to enhance student awareness of Technology and Engineering Management concepts, strengthen leadership and organizational skills, and promote innovation-driven thinking. The activity will also increase IEEE TEMS visibility on campus and encourage students to actively participate in future IEEE TEMS initiatives, workshops, and global programs.

Overall, this initiative aims to develop well-rounded engineering professionals who can effectively combine technical expertise with management and leadership capabilities, in alignment with the mission of IEEE TEMS to advance technology management and innovation globally.
