Robo League Competition
The "Robo League" competition is a strategic initiative dedicated to bridging the gender gap in mechatronics engineering by creating a high-impact, inclusive platform for female engineering students at the Hashemite University. While robotics fields often see lower female representation, Robo League actively dismantles these barriers by prioritizing the involvement of women in every stage of the project lifecycle.
Our core focus is to ensure that female students do not just participate as observers, but take on central technical leadership roles. We are specifically recruiting female technical trainers to lead our 18-hour intensive bootcamps, and we have implemented a structured mentorship program that pairs female participants with experienced chapter leaders to guide their mechanical design and programming journeys. The funds requested from the WIE affinity group will be directly utilized to build the official 1v1 Competition Arena. This arena serves as the ultimate "proving ground" for our female engineers to demonstrate their technical proficiency, innovative problem-solving, and system integration skills within our campus engineering labs.
By providing a high-visibility, competitive stage, we are showcasing the engineering capabilities of these women and inspiring a new generation of female freshmen to pursue automation and robotics with confidence. This project ensures that technical excellence and gender-inclusive collaboration are at the heart of our chapter’s activities, fostering a sustainable network of women in engineering who are empowered to excel in their professional futures.
