IEEE student branch of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering  & Technology offers a comprehensive introduction to modern drone technology and autonomous aerial systems, providing participants with foundational knowledge of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their growing significance across various industries. The session covers the evolution of drone technology, current industry trends, regulatory aspects in India, and diverse applications including agriculture, surveillance, mapping, defence, delivery, and cinematography. Participants will gain insights into essential drone components, flight dynamics, and advanced flight control systems such as Betaflight and Pixhawk. The workshop further introduces key concepts related to drone configuration, mission planning, autonomous navigation, simulation environments, and intelligent flight operations. This program is designed to enhance technical understanding and create awareness of emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving field of drone technology and aerial robotics.

Biography:

Mr. Ashutosh Maske is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur. He is actively involved in the fields of robotics and drone technology, with a strong focus on practical innovation and student-driven technical development. He serves as the faculty coordinator of the Texcelrators RoboClub and Drone Lab, where he mentors students in designing and developing advanced robotic systems and FPV drones.

Since 2022, he has been actively representing and securing winning positions for his institution at prestigious national technical events and competitions, including IIT Bombay Techfest, IIIT Nagpur, and BITS Pilani. With expertise in flight controllers, embedded systems, and drone design, he has successfully conducted more than 20 technical workshops and training sessions focused on robotics and drone technology. He is passionate about fostering technical excellence among students and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry-oriented practical knowledge.
