Wings of Tunisia 2.0 was a four-day interactive and hands-on event held from July 3 to July 6, designed to introduce children to the exciting world of drones through engaging activities, creative workshops, and practical experiences. From discovering the basics on Day 1 to building drone models and competing in the grand finale on Day 4, each day brought new knowledge, new projects, and new challenges.

The event successfully inspired young minds to explore drone technology while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering skills in an enjoyable and interactive environment.

Exploring the World of Drones

The speaker led the Wings of Tunisia 2.0 workshop over four days. They taught the basics of drones, how they fly, and what parts they are made of.

They also explained FPV goggles and showed how drone simulators work. Through fun and hands-on activities like building models and paper airplane challenges, they helped participants learn step by step and understand drone technology in an easy and practical way.





Agenda

Day 1 – Discovering the World of Drones
The event began with an introduction to drones through a dynamic program running from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants learned what drones are, how they fly, and where they are used. To make learning fun and interactive, children took part in activities such as "Be the Drone" where they experienced the basic principles of drone movement, and a creative drawing session that allowed them to design and imagine their own drones

Day 2 – Understanding Drone Components
The second day focused on the different components that make up a drone. Through hands-on demonstrations using a real drone, participants explored how each part contributes to flight. To further encourage creativity and reinforce flight concepts, the children also participated in a paper airplane challenge, where they designed, built, and tested their own paper aircraft.

Day 3 – Drone Building Workshop
On the third day, participants were introduced to FPV goggles through a live demonstration, allowing them to experience immersive drone flying. Building on the knowledge gained during the previous sessions, the children then took part in a drone model workshop, where they assembled their own drone models and applied what they had learned about drone structures and components.

Day 4 – Competitions and Closing Ceremony
The final day was dedicated to completing the drone models and introducing participants to a drone flight simulator, giving them the opportunity to experience virtual drone piloting. The event concluded with a friendly simulator competition, presentations of the drone models built by the participants, and a closing ceremony where awards and certificates were presented to celebrate the children's achievements.
