ORBE - Open Robotics for Basic Education is a project that consists in developing some teaching-assistant robotic kits. Right now, the main kit is a mini-game that teachs trigonometry by having a integrated system of an ESP-32, a buzzer, and two potentiometers. There are many levels into the game, that apply some concepts such as sin, cosin and tangent. There are sound effects and some imagens on the display. The physical body of the project was built on 3D printing, using the software Solid Edge as the main resource. The project is right now developing it's other kits, and will be applied in schools in the next months. There were already some visits from schools to the laboratory where the Chapter resides. For the next steps, there will be some guides on how to use the kits, so we can apply them at schools and search for feedback through some polls applied with both students and teachers. ORBE seeks to democratize education, mainly in STEM areas, making some difficult subjects more understandable and funny for kids and teenagers.
