The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, in association with the IEEE DSU Student Branch, is organizing a Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Automotive Communication, Diagnostics and Network Validation using CANoe" from 20 July 2026 to 25 July 2026.

This FDP is designed to provide faculty members with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to automotive communication networks, diagnostics, simulation, testing, and validation using the industry-standard Vector CANoe platform. The program combines expert lectures, hands-on laboratory sessions, and demonstrations using the department's existing automotive communication hardware infrastructure.

Participants will gain practical insights into modern in-vehicle communication technologies including CAN, Automotive Ethernet, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), and Ethernet-based vehicle diagnostics. Sessions will be delivered by experienced academicians alongside industry experts from leading automotive and embedded technology organizations, ensuring an excellent blend of academic concepts and industrial practices.

The FDP aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by enabling participants to integrate contemporary automotive communication technologies into teaching, research, consultancy, and curriculum development.
