Five-Day Faculty Development Program on Automotive Communication, Diagnostics and Network Validation using CANoe

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, successfully organized a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Automotive Communication, Diagnostics and Network Validation using CANoe" from 20–25 July 2026. The program aimed to provide participants with a strong foundation in modern automotive communication systems and industry-standard validation techniques. It brought together faculty members, research scholars, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students to gain practical knowledge of emerging automotive technologies.  

The FDP covered key topics such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), ECU simulation, CAPL scripting, network analysis, and diagnostics using the Vector CANoe platform. Sessions were delivered by experienced faculty members and industry experts from leading organizations, combining theoretical concepts with practical demonstrations and hands-on laboratory exercises. Participants also explored software-defined vehicles, communication protocols, test automation, and validation methodologies used in the automotive industry.  

The interactive nature of the program encouraged active participation and knowledge sharing while strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Through expert guidance and practical exposure, participants enhanced their technical competencies in automotive communication and diagnostics, enabling them to apply these concepts in teaching, research, and future professional work. Overall, the FDP was a valuable learning experience that promoted skill development, innovation, and industry readiness in the field of automotive embedded systems.
