ProtoNex 2026
ProtoNex 2026 was a 30-hour overnight national-level hackathon organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and IEEE Student Branch Chapters at Presidency University on 15th and 16th April 2026. The event witnessed participation from 144 students forming 41 teams across six innovation-focused domains including Smart Agriculture, Electric Vehicles, AI in Healthcare, Women Safety, Low-Power Embedded Systems, and Rural Development Technologies.
The hackathon focused on real-world problem solving, prototype development, teamwork, and innovation. Participants worked continuously through the night with support from faculty mentors and external industry experts. A custom web-based QR evaluation system was used for real-time judging and transparent assessment. The event successfully encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration, technical innovation, and industry-oriented learning among students.
