Bios:
Yujian Ye is a Full Professor with a Young Endowed Honor at Southeast University (SEU), China. He also holds a joint faculty appointment at the Shenzhen Loop Area Institute, China and serves as an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London, UK. He is a Charted Engineer (CEng), and serves as the Chair of IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Nanjing Section Chapter, Steering Board Member of the UK-China University Consortium on Engineering Education and Research (UK-China UCEER), Deputy Director of the HUAWEI-SEU Joint Innovation Laboratory for Macro-Micro Integrated Simulations. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in at Imperial College London in 2017 with Fully-Funded Scholarship.
His research focuses on trustworthy big data analytics and artificial intelligence for coupled information-energy-transportation nexus modeling, control and analysis, with an emphasis on analysis and modeling, perception and prediction, and control policies coordination for different stakeholders in the nexus, while the methodology focuses on enhancing safety, cybersecurity & privacy and robustness and generalization of the big data and AI techniques.
He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers were published in prestigious scientific journals, including Nature Communications, Proceedings of the IEEE, Nature Electrical Engineering Review, IEEE Power and Energy Magazine, IEEE PES Transactions and Applied Energy, with a total impact factor over 600 and over 5 ESI high-cited papers. He has been awarded as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists released by Stanford University. He received the China Electric Power Outstanding Science and Technology Talent Award, Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, Huawei Spark Award, IEEE PES China Council Outstanding Young Engineer Award.
He serves as the Associate Editor of several prestigious international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Power Engineering Letters, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Applied Energy, Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, IEEE Systems Journal. Furthermore, he is the PI/CO-PI for a series of key projects funded by the NSFC, National Key R&D Program of MOST China, The Royal Society (UK), and China Association for Science and Technology in amount of over 6 million CNY, he also received over 15 million CNY funding from State Grid China, China Southern Power Grid, The Five Major Power Generation Groups in China, Huawei, Tencent, Teld New Energy and StarCharge. Furthermore, he was involved in many multi-partner collaborative projects and led the work regarding machine learning for trial data modelling and analysis. The projects concerned were “EU-SysFlex” (Horizon 2020, EUR 20million), “TradeRES” (Horizon 2020, EUR 4million), “MERLON” (Horizon 2020, EUR 7.3million) and “E-FLEX - Real-world Energy Flexibility through Electric Vehicle Energy Trading” (Innovate UK, GBP 3.6million).
