The IEEE Student Branch, Chandigarh Engineering College (CGC), Landran, successfully organized IDEATHON 2026, a two-day innovation competition designed to inspire students to transform creative ideas into impactful solutions. The event provided a collaborative platform for aspiring innovators to identify real-world problems, brainstorm innovative concepts, and present feasible solutions before an expert panel of judges.
IDEATHON 2026 encouraged participants to develop entrepreneurial thinking while enhancing their technical, analytical, and presentation skills. Students worked in teams to propose ideas that could potentially evolve into startups, research projects, or patentable innovations. The competition comprised a Preliminary Round and a Grand Finale, where shortlisted teams presented their ideas in detail and interacted with the judges through a question-and-answer session.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines, promoting innovation, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving while strengthening the culture of research and entrepreneurship within the institution.
