Agentic Autonomous Task Execution Bootcamp
The Agentic AI & Autonomous Task Execution Bootcamp was organized by the IEEE JUIT Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE India Council and IEEE Delhi Section, from 24–26 August 2026 at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh. Conducted as part of the Auckland School, Shimla visit programme, the three-day hands-on workshop introduced students to Agentic AI architectures, autonomous task execution, and edge-AI technologies through practical learning.
The technical sessions were led by Dr. Salman (IIT Kanpur Alumnus) and Dr. Aman (Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Alumnus), who guided participants through AI concepts, hardware demonstrations, and real-world applications. Students worked with Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, embedded IoT kits, and autonomous drone components, gaining firsthand experience of AI-powered systems capable of performing tasks with minimal human intervention.
Supported by an organizing team of dedicated IEEE volunteers and JUIT faculty, the bootcamp promoted collaboration between visiting students and the university community. The project also strengthened JUIT's international outreach while encouraging interest in Artificial Intelligence, robotics, IEEE membership, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
The initiative was supported through the IEEE Region 10 Educational Activities Grant, with funding allocated toward edge-AI systems, computing infrastructure, IoT development kits, server setup, electronics, and demonstration equipment to create lasting resources for future educational activities.
