Introduction
The IEEE SRHU Student Branch, Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), conducted an Interview Round as part of the IEEE Membership Drive for First-Year Students on 2 September 2026.
The activity provided an opportunity to interact with first-year students, understand their interests and skills, and introduce them to IEEE, its activities, and the opportunities available through active participation in the Student Branch.
Objectives of the Activity

To introduce first-year students to IEEE and its activities.

To understand their interests, skills, and willingness to participate.

To encourage the development of communication, teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills.
Interview Process
The interview was conducted in an interactive environment. Students were asked to introduce themselves and discuss their academic interests, extracurricular activities, teamwork experience, creative ideas, and motivation to join IEEE.
The interaction also allowed students to ask questions and understand IEEE membership, Student Branch activities, and the opportunities available to them.

Outcome of the Activity
The interview round helped the Student Branch understand the interests, skills, and potential of first-year students. It also helped students gain clarity about IEEE membership, its activities, and opportunities for participation.
The activity encouraged students to take an active interest in developing their communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and professional skills through IEEE.
Conclusion
The IEEE Membership Drive – Interview Round was successfully conducted by the IEEE SRHU Student Branch, SST. The activity created awareness about IEEE, provided clarity regarding membership and activities, and encouraged first-year students to actively participate in the IEEE community.
