Event in which professors, researchers, students meet to exchange their latest activities in the area of Electromagnetics. Guest speakers, student competitions constitute the major activities of the day.

The Lebanon IEEE joint Chapter AP/MTT/MAG is organizing a technical event and a 3-tier student competition. This year's in person event will be held at BAU, Debbieh, on Friday October the 30th, 2026. The event features many presentations, the highlight of which will be a competition for students in Lebanon permitting them to showcase their recent academic work in (electro)magnetics. Students will compete at three levels: undergraduate, graduate Masters level and graduate PhD level. Topics of study should fit the areas of interest of one of the AP/MTT/MAG societies, largely electromagnetics and magnetics. The work reported could be pure theory, simulation, applications or a combination of all three. It is requested that students wishing to participate submit a no more than a 200-word abstract. Students with a selected abstract will have 10 minutes to present their work and a committee will select the best presenters. There are 6 cash prizes. Two prizes for the best PhD level research ($150 and $100), two for the best Master level project ($120 and $80), and two for the best senior/final year project presentation ($90 and $60). Students, that are accepted to the competition, will give a presentation of 10 minutes during the LEMD.
